& General Cannabis Knowledge

THC

THC (also known as Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the chemical in Cannabis that is responsible for the psychoactive effect you feel when smoking or ingesting.

It has been used to treat anxiety, nausea, cramps, pain, and more!

FUN FACT: THC was originally isolated and discovered in 1964 at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.

CBD

CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is the chemical in Cannabis that has no psychoactive properties, but many medicinal benefits. It has been known to relieve anxiety, and provide and overall calming feeling.

CBD has been used to help with back pain, osteoarthritis, arthritis, and even cancer.

FUN FACT: CBD is one of over 60 cannabinoids found within the cannabis plant!

Other Cannabinoids

CBG, short for Cannabigerol, is a non psychoactive cannabinoid that has many therapeutic uses. Majority of cannabis contains less than 1% CBG.

CBN, or Cannabinol, is a light psychoactive cannabinoid that assists with sleep! It has been known to prolong sleep time and assist with insomnia.

CBDA, also known as Cannabidiolic Acid, is another non-psychoactive cannabinoid used in assisting nausea or certain types of cancer!

Sativa

Sativa plants are predominantly grown and found in hot, dry climates. Plants are typically taller, thinner and have finger-like leaves.

Sativa often has less CBD than it does THC, can be described as more of a "head-high", and typically gives more of an energetic and uplifting high.

Hybrid

Hybrids are typically grown on greenhouses or farms, and are a mix of both Sativa and Indica. Its appearance can depend on many different conditions, and its parents genetics.

Hybrids can be sativa-dominant, indica-dominant, or a balanced blend. The type of high you get will depend on it's lineage.

Indica

Indica flower typically thrive in harsher, drier climates. The plants are usually shorter, stockier, while the leaves are usually bushy and chunky.

indica strains usually contain higher amounts of CBD and a lower amount of THC. This is the perfect strain if you're looking for a good night's sleep, or something to combat your anxiety.
